The Alocasia Nycteris Batwing has a gorgeous sculpted leaf that shines bright due to its glossy structure. Once the leaves harden, they are a very dark green colour, which just compliments the overall look of the plant. If you look closely, you can also see some nerves running through the leaves, which is something we all love about foliage, right?! These leaves are held up by cream petioles with black speckles on them. A gorgeous Alocasia species that will capture the spotlight inside of your PLNTScollection. The Alocasia is pretty picky when it comes to caring for it. But once you get the surroundings and the watering routine in your fingers, you are ensured to have thriving Alocasia!
You can start off with an elevated humidity between 60 and 90%. The temperature should be kept anywhere between 18 and 29 degrees, without switching too much and the spot should be inside of bright indirect light.
The Batwing would like to be watered whenever the top of the soil feels dry. Ensure there is no water accumulating on the bottom of the pot, for example by growing your Alocasia in a pot with drainage holes.
