Were you on the hunt for a rare gem? You have found it! The Philodendron Holtonianum has a distinct and unique look. The leaves are very long and narrow and have 2 similar looking lobes on top. The leaves can become very long, which gives an edgy look. Very mature leaves will have a wrinkly texture, which is just the cherry on top of its special looks! The plant is epiphytic, which will require a special type of potting soil. We have put together a Epiphytes potting mix kit, which contains all the needed substrates to make your Holtonianum extra comfortable! We recommend mixing these substrates to the following ratio: 85% tree bark, and 10% sphagnum moss. 3% perlite and 2% charcoal.
You can place the plant on a spot where it can receive bright indirect light. This will make sure the plant can produce enough energy. Just keep an eye on any scorching that might happen when the spot gets some direct sun or gets too hot for the plant.
