This unusual Anthurium species is a must have for the plant lover with an eye for something special! The leaves look just like shields! Most Anthuriums have an open top side, with lobes, this pretty species has a closed top, which is where that shield look comes from. The nerves make a pretty addition to the overall look. Juvenile leaves start with a fresh green colour, as they mature the colour darkens and the texture becomes velvety. Due to these looks, the Anthurium Peltigerum really distincts itself from its family members. Are you keen to get this plant in your hands already? Buy Anthurium Peltigerum online.
You can mix a potting soil that is extra chunky. Our epiphyte potting mix kit contains all the needed substrates, we would advise you to mix these substrates according to the following ratio: 85% bark, 10% sphagnum moss, 3% perlite, and 2% charcoal.
Anthurium is a humid-loving plant, which is why you should elevate the humidity around the plant. Maybe by placing a humidifier nearby, or placing it on top of a pebble tray. If you are keen on a project you might even want to look into building a greenhouse cabinet!
You can keep the soil slightly moist, by providing regular sips of water. Always be careful with the amount of water that you give. Make sure the plant's roots will not sit in a puddle, since that will cause root rot.
Your order will be hand picked and packed in our strong and sustainable packaging as soon as possible, after which it will be delivered straight from our greenhouse to your door by your chosen carrier. Everything about Anthurium
All varieties of Anthurium plants are tropical plants and mostly come from South and Central America. Anthurium is a genus of about 1000 species and, therefore, one of the largest genus of the Araceae family.
Anthuriums are divided into two main groups: flowering Anthuriums (flamingo flowers) and foliage Anthuriums. Flowering Anthuriums have brightly coloured waxy spathes (modified leaves) that look like flowers. Other varieties of Anthurium plants have striking foliage with big and deep green heart-shaped leaves and amazing veined patterns.
