Don’t underestimate the beauty of some yellow variegation, since this plant is an absolute stunner! The Monstera Deliciosa Aurea is a rare Monstera species with a glossy green base and yellow chunks of variegation. The variegation in this plant appears differently in each leaf, which makes the colours truly melt into one another. The Monstera doesn’t have too many demands when it comes to care. For variegated plants, it is extra important that they receive enough light, in order for them to produce enough energy for themselves. Place them within bright indirect light, but keep an eye on any scorching that might happen.
When your Monstera Aurea is ready to be repotted, we would advice to use a chunky potting soil that is suitable for aroids. Either create your own blend, or use our aroid potting mix kit with the following ratio: 60% soil, 15% tree bark, 10% coco fibre, 10% active charcoal and 5% Perlite.
Keep the soil moist, without it getting too wet. It’s best to provide a gentle sip of water, when the top of the soil feels dry. This retains some moisture within the soil, so the Monstera isn’t left standing too dry. Ideal for your new green friend!
