This special Alocasia variety is one you've never seen before! She is undoubtedly a unique plant for your indoor jungle. The Alocasia Flying Squid looks a little quirky and maybe even a little spooktacular. She has very small leaves at the end of each leaf stalk. The stems remind us a bit of the tentacles of a squid, which is why it gets her nickname.
Alocasia plants like bright, indirect light. Too much direct sunlight can scorch the leaves. This baby Alocasia likes moist soil. We recommend watering it a little every week. Check her potting soil to feel how much, that way you will never overwater. Furthermore, she doesn't like a cold room or too much draught so consider that when you pick a spot for her. Our Aroid potting mix is ideal for this plant. So when it is time to repot, we recommend this mix.

Dainty little leaves, cute alocasia that adds a nice contrast to my collection. But definitely needs more advanced care.

The baby looked a little traumatised. The roots looked good but two of the leaves leaves shrivelled up an died after 3 days. To reduce stress, I repotted it iny secret mix, increase humidity and gave it some liquid root hormone. 1 week later I can see some new growth comming in from the center. The plant looks happy and I'm looking forward to see it a year from now!
