The Kentia palm (Howea forsteriana) is a timeless tropical classic. With her long, arching fronds and elegant shape, she brings an effortless sense of calm and luxury to any interior. Native to Lord Howe Island in Australia, she’s loved around the world for her graceful look and easy-going nature, a true statement plant that never goes out of style.
The Kentia palm thrives in bright, indirect light but tolerates lower light better than most palms. Water moderately and let the top layer of soil dry before watering again, she dislikes soggy roots. Keep her away from cold drafts and direct sun, and mist her leaves occasionally to maintain humidity. Feed monthly in spring and summer for lush, healthy growth.
