The Asplenium Nidus Crispy Wave takes the classic bird's nest fern and turns up the volume, with bright green fronds that ripple like little waves frozen mid-motion. Each crinkled leaf catches the light differently, giving this compact fern a surprising amount of personality. The dense, upright rosette stays neat and sculptural, making it perfect for a shelf, desk or bathroom windowsill. It is wonderfully forgiving for a fern and completely safe for pets too. If you like your green friends with a bit of texture, this ruffled character is the one.
Your Asplenium loves a bright spot without direct sunlight, so a little distance from a south-facing window keeps those glossy fronds happy. Water weekly and keep the soil lightly moist, but never pour water into the heart of the rosette, as that can cause rot. This fern thrives on humidity, which makes the bathroom or a spot near other green friends a great choice. A well-draining potting mix and a repot every two years give the roots room to breathe. Feed monthly during spring and summer with a diluted plant food. If you spot brown, crispy edges, the air is probably too dry, so grab that plant sprayer a little more often. Good news for pet parents: this one is completely animal-friendly.
