What a nice name for an even nicer plant. Probably so named because monkeys can hide behind the leaves but still see through the holes. In the Monstera Monkey Mask, the holes are in the middle of the leaf, near the vein, and the tips of the leaf are closed. This gives this species its very own appearance. This beautifully large and full plant has been trained to grow on a moss stick. This makes her a real eye-catcher. Are you up to the challenge of making her grow even bigger?
She is related to the Monstera Deliciosa, but is actually even easier to care for. She likes a moist potting soil. The Aroid mix would be the ideal soil for it. It is important that this Monstera Adansonii Monkey Mask likes a lot of light, but not a lot of time in the full sun. So choose a suitable spot for this lady. Giving her some extra nutrition during the growing season is ideal to support her optimally. With proper care she will grow even bigger than she is!
