The Fittonia, also known as a nerve plant or mosaic plant, is a small but brave plant. Despite her size, she manages to stand out. This is really thanks to her beautifully coloured and serrated leaves with striking veins. A combination not often seen in the plant world! The Fittonia Forest Flame leaves range from flame red (hence the name) to a shocking pink.
The Fittonia does not need a lot of light, therefore, don’t put her under immediate sunlight. She is a great fit for what dark place in the living room. The Fittonia needs to be watered no more than once per week with (lukewarm) water. Please note that ground is not continuously wet as this can cause the roots to rot. Fittonias can be used in an terrarium because they appreciate high humidity.

Everything about Fittonia
Fittonias are popular houseplants known for their colourful foliage. Their leaves come in bright colours such as green, pink, white, and red. These plants are native to South America, especially Peru. They grow in tropical rainforests as ground cover under tree canopies.
The full botanical name is Fittonia Albivenis and is named after Elizabeth and Sarah Mary Fitton, two Irish sisters who introduced the science of plants to young people with the book ‘Conversations on Botany’. The specific name Albivensis literally means "White Veins".
