The Alocasia Cucullata has big beautiful heart shaped green leaves that shine like no other. The glossy leaves show prominent veins and are supported by tall green stems. Most Alocasias are familiar with “guttation” (drops of water at the tip of the leaves). The Alocasia Cucullata is an exception here and does not let her heart shaped leaves melt. This makes her perfect for all surfaces in your home!
The Alocasia Cucullata loves to see a lot of light, but cannot stand direct sunlight. Sounds difficult, but the right solution is a place with lots of indirect sunlight. This way she keeps her beautiful green colour. To mimic her natural conditions, make sure her soil is constantly light moist. This means that you can water her when her soil is almost dried out. Like most Alocasia’s, the Cuculatta is a big fan of high humidity. Spoil her sometimes with a plant sprayer and she will shine with happiness!
