The multicoloured leaves of the Calathea triostar are instantly recognisable, and she has an appealing habit of opening and closing her leaves in response to changing conditions, even opening and closing according to how bright the light is! If you are very quiet you can even hear her leaves rustling. The Calathea triostar likes to take up a lot of room but she doesn’t need a lot of light, so she’s perfect for the darker areas of your living room, the hall or even the bathroom.
The Calathea triostar needs constantly moist soil, so if you water it twice a week it will certainly succeed. She prefers shade and shadow, and will thrive in the darker areas of your house, so keep her away from the bright spots near windows and you will make her happiest. In the spring and summer months give her a bit of organic PLNTS nutrition every other week so that her leaves retain their fiery colour.
