This is not your ordinary String of Pearls, this is the striking variegated version! She is very similar to our already beloved String of Pearls (Senecio Rowleyanus), but instead of her ‘pearls’ being completely green, she has white stripes on hers. This makes her an overall stunning plant. Let these beautiful pearl strings trail out of a cabinet, from a shelf or out of a macrame hanger. She will most definitely be gorgeous either way!
This variegated pearl is quite easy to take care of. She is part of the succulent family, which results in her not needing a lot of water. Even more so, if you give her too much water her ‘pearls’ will explode. It’s important that her soil dries out completely before watering her again. Try to make her as comfortable as possible by giving her a well draining soil. She will love lots of indirect light, but make sure to keep her out of direct sunlight. This light should be given on top of the pot.The white parts on her pearls are overall more sensitive and we wouldn’t like to damage anything. Luckily she is not very picky when it comes to humidity, any average room humidity will do for her.

I was very worried on how she would be shipped as string plants are so delicate, but she was perfectly packaged with her pearls neatly organized in the middle. She was easy to de tangle and I didn’t lose one pearl! She’s a stunner.

Senecio is one of the biggest plant families that belong to the daisy (Asteraceae) family.
