Caution, vulnerable to leaf damage
The Platycerium Bifurcatum is a fern with leaves that resemble the antlers of a deer, which is where it gets its nickname of ‘stag horn fern’. Unlike most other ferns this lady loves some bright light, perhaps because she has her 'roots' in sunny Australia. The surface of the leaves of the Platycerium Alcicorne are covered with a layer of soft downy hairs, and it’s thanks to these that she can hold moisture very well and doesn’t dry out easily, making her a hardwearing member of the family.
