The Pilea Glaucophylla Greyzy is a little jewel of a trailing plant, with countless tiny blue-grey leaves on delicate reddish stems. That silvery shimmer gives it a soft, almost frosted look that pairs beautifully with any interior style. It trails elegantly over the edge of its pot, perfect for a shelf, windowsill or hanging planter. It grows fast and fills out generously, so you get that lush look in no time. Completely safe for cats and dogs as well. A subtle stunner that proves you don't need big leaves to make a big impression.
Your Pilea is happiest in bright, indirect light, where those delicate little leaves keep their colour without scorching. Water weekly and let the top of the soil dry slightly in between, as the fine roots dislike sitting in water. Normal room humidity is fine, though it won't say no to an occasional misting. Plant it in a light, well-draining potting mix and repot every two years. Feed monthly in spring and summer with diluted plant food. Trim back long strands whenever you like to keep it full, and pop the cuttings in water for free new plants. Completely pet-friendly too, so trailing within paws' reach is no drama.
