Caution, vulnerable to leaf damage
The velvety heart-shaped leaves have a beautiful drawing and colour, which distinguishes it from most terrarium plants and therefore creates beautiful colour contrasts.
The Philodendron scandens micans likes light but not bright sunshine, and prefers to stay warm- ideally between 16 and 24 degrees. She likes moist soil but be careful not to water her too much. If she’s getting yellow leaves, that’s a sure sign that she’s getting too much water. Her leaves and stems are poisonous to pets, so she’s best kept well away from them. May 14, 2024I bought size M plant. The plant I got is gorgeous, much larger than shown on pictures and excellent quality. Arrived in perfect condition, no any damage found on leaves or stems, not over watered or too thirsty. It is very full, there are 6 stems and longest is about 25 cm (around 10'). New leaves development found on each stem. I absolutely love this new addition to my collection. Thank you PLNTS for this beauty!

April 28, 2021Leaves much smaller than expected and a few of the larger leaves arrived damaged, but plenty of new growth so I imagine it will perk up and look lovely by the end of this growing season. One of my favourite philos and difficult to find locally, so happy overall.

February 21, 2021Sadly, nearly 4 leafs had big holes in them when the plant arrived. When I contacted the support, they had a fitting solution. All in all it is a very beautiful plant and it grows magnificent.

January 31, 2021I am a little late to leave a review, but I have now had my micans a few months and can say I am VERY happy. Definitely one of my favourite plants. It arrived in very nice condition and well packaged with no damage - after having it throughout the cold Uk winter I am happy to say it is still thriving and putting out leaves regularly. The micans is a special plant with its velvety leaves and gorgeous red underside of the leaves. I honestly spend most of my time while at home lovingly gazing at this plant..!
