This pretty Philodendron species is a bit unusual compared to its family members, but that is what makes it a nice addition to your ever-growing growing PLNTScollection! The Philodendron Rugosum Aberrant has long leaves with a beautiful gradient. The inner centre is light green and fades out to a darker green towards the outer edge. Like most Philodendrons, the Rugosum Aberrant loves to have moist soil. That will result in it wanting to be watered whenever the top of the soil feels dry. We would recommend alternating watering your Philodendron from the top and from the bottom.
As for potting soil, you might want to consider mixing a special blend of substrates. We have put all the needed substrates in our aroid potting mix kit, to make it a bit easier for you!
It will grow best where it can receive bright indirect light. Be careful placing this plant near hot windowsills, since that might scorch the beautiful foliage.
