RarePLNTS collectors, this one's for you! This magnificent plant is a cross between the already highly beloved Philodendron Pink Princess and the Philodendron White Knight. All their pretty traits combined in one plant, the Philodendron Red Anderson. Her leaves start out with a dark red colour with pink splats of variegation in the colour pink. Once the foliage hardens, the leaves turn partly a dark green colour with white splats of variegation. Some parts will stay a dark red and will have pink splats. A very interesting combination! This foliage is held up by deep red stems, which will make sure you have enough pretty details to take in when giving this plant a glance. As the rules goed for basically every aroid, she would like to be potted inside a chunky and airy soil mix. This should have the qualities to hold water, to drain excess water and to make rooting super easy. That is why we recommended using our aroid potting mix kit, to mix your own mix with all the substrates your new Philodendron is going to love.
Water your rarity whenever the soil is starting to feel dry. This will make sure the potting soil stays slightly moist at all times. But make sure there will be no water accumulating on the bottom of the pot, since this can cause root rot.
You can place her on a spot where she receives bright indirect light. She needs to soak up lots of light to produce enough energy for herself, since variegated plants have a little bit more of a struggle to be able to do so.
