The Coleus Park Avenue is as chic as its name, with warm lime-green leaves flushed in copper and rust tones toward the centre. That elegant colour gradient makes every leaf look like autumn caught in the act. It grows quickly into a full, bushy plant that keeps producing fresh painted foliage. Colour intensifies beautifully in good light, so give it a bright spot. Pinch the tips regularly and it stays wonderfully compact. Uptown looks, downtown easy.
Your Coleus shows its brightest colours in plenty of light, so give it a spot with lots of brightness and even a little gentle morning sun. Water weekly and keep the soil lightly moist, because this fast grower gets thirsty and will dramatically droop when dry (it perks right up after a drink). Normal room humidity is fine. Pinch out the growing tips regularly to keep your plant bushy and full instead of leggy. Feed monthly in spring and summer to fuel all that colourful new growth. Keep it warm, ideally above 15 degrees, and away from cold draughts. Do keep it out of reach of pets, as the leaves are not meant for nibbling.
