The Ceropegia Woodii 'String of Hearts' is a popular trailing succulent. She gets her nickname 'String of Hearts' from her too cute, heart-shaped leaves that drag gracefully downwards. The String of Hearts plant has delicate silver-grey-green leaves with a beautiful pattern and green to purple undersides. In spring and summer, this cutie can even grow small vase-shaped purple flowers! Fortunately, this adventurous hanging plant is not very demanding, so it will soon feel at home in your living room. It prefers to stand high on a shelf or hang like a hanging plant. That way it has enough room to drag herself down. If given the space, its tendrils can reach remarkable lengths of more than 3 metres!
The String of Hearts is not demanding. She thrives best in a place where she can receive a lot of direct or indirect sunlight. Less light will result in paler leaves. When the usually dark leaves begin to discolour, it is time to move her to a sunnier spot. The Ceropegia Woodii String of Hearts is a succulent, so you should water her sparingly. Too much water can cause her roots to rot. A little splash of water a week is all this low-maintenance plant needs.
One of my favourite Heart shaped plants, healthy and growing
