Begonia Amphioxus is a true collector's gem from the rainforests of Borneo. Her narrow, pointed leaves look hand-painted: pale green dotted with deep maroon polka dots and edged in dark red. She stays compact and loves the humid cosiness of a terrarium or greenhouse cabinet. A rare little green friend for plant lovers who enjoy something extraordinary.
Your Begonia Amphioxus is a rainforest baby that thrives on high humidity, ideally seventy percent or more, which makes a terrarium or greenhouse cabinet her dream home. Give her bright, indirect light and keep her warm, never below eighteen degrees. Water in small sips to keep the soil lightly moist but never wet, as her fine roots rot easily. An airy, chunky soil mix keeps those roots happy. Feed very lightly in spring and summer, and resist the urge to mist her leaves directly: she prefers humid air over wet leaves.

It is well known that some Begonias are grown outdoors (in gardens or balconies) due to their beautiful flowers and blooming from spring to autumn. Indoor Begonias are more valued for their foliage and require slightly different care than Begonias grown outdoors.
