The Aglaonema Cutlass owes its name to its narrow, sword-shaped leaves, beautifully marbled in silvery green with dark green edges and veins. Those long, elegant blades give it a much more refined silhouette than your average houseplant. It grows into a full, bushy clump that stays tidy without any fuss. True to its family, it is wonderfully tolerant of lower light and irregular attention. That makes it perfect for offices, hallways and those trickier corners. Sharp looks, soft character.
Your Aglaonema is wonderfully low-maintenance and even forgives a spot with less light, although its leaf markings stay most vivid in bright, indirect light. Water every other week and let the top of the soil dry out in between, as soggy roots are its only real enemy. Normal room humidity is fine, though an occasional misting keeps the foliage extra glossy. Plant it in a well-draining potting mix and repot every two years. Feed monthly in spring and summer with diluted plant food. Keep it away from cold draughts and temperatures below 15 degrees, as this tropical beauty likes it warm. One thing to remember: the leaves are toxic when nibbled, so keep curious pets at a distance.

Everything about Aglaonema
The Aglaonema (Chinese Evergreen) is part of the Araceae family and originates from tropical areas of Southeast Asia. There are more than 50 recognised varieties of Aglaonema with endless variation in leaf colour and shape. Most Aglaonema’s are green with white or greyish colours, but there are also variations with pink or purple colours. The leaves usually have a marbled or mottled pattern.
