The baby Tillandsia Harrisii is an air plant, meaning that it extracts its nutrients and water from the air. This unique characteristic makes it a very easy and special plant, and it is easily recognised by its delicate leaves and trailing air roots. This Guatemalan native can be placed in many places in your home and is super low maintenance- the ideal plant for adding green without having to do anything!
The baby Tillandsia Harrisii is an epiphyte, a family of semi-parasitic plants that make their homes on the branches of other, larger plants. Epiphytes extract water and nutrients from the air with their roots, so they don’t need soil or fertiliser. They do like it if you spray them lightly with a plant sprayer every now and then, but let the roots dry well to keep them happy. Hang this baby Tillandsia Harrisii anywhere in the house and enjoy it!

Mine really suffered from the cold during delivery, but otherwise looked to be the same size as in the picture.

We expect every order to arrive in tip-top shape. We take intensive care of the plants in our greenhouse and use special and as sustainable as possible protective packaging to ship our plants. We also wrote an extensive blog about how to unpack and prepare your plants for growth after shipping. However there are rare occasions where our plants don’t meet their full potential. That’s why all plants are guaranteed for 30 days after arrival, if still in its original nursery pot.

Everything about Tillandsia
Tillandsia is a group of plants in the Bromeliaceae family, which includes a bunch of different types of plants like Air Plants. It's pretty unique that air plants don't have many roots like other indoor plants. Rather than taking in water from the ground, they absorb it from the air through their leaves. Little grey hairlike structures called trichomes on their leaves absorb moisture and nutrients from the air. This is pretty awesome! Once you know what air plants need, taking care of them is easy.
