The baby Ceropegia Woodii is also known as the ‘string of hearts’ or the Chinese lantern plant. She’s a popular hanging plant which takes her name from the little heart-shaped leaves which hang down on thin stems. The Baby Ceropegia Woodii String of Hearts originates from Zimbabwe and South Africa. Here she grows between the rocks, hanging down in long strings. She’ll be just as happy in your warm home and will grow well, but be sure to put her in a pot on a higher cupboard or opt for a hanging pot, because her strands can grow up to 3 metres long!
The baby Ceropegia Woodii is easy to care for and can be placed in full sun or half shade, but if you see her leaves turning lighter green it’s a sign that she might not be getting enough light. She doesn’t need a lot of water; a weekly splash is enough and will prevent risk of root rot. In nature she often grows on rock faces, so a hanging basket will allow her to dangle happily. She is reasonably stable, which means that you hardly need to repot her. In order not to exhaust the soil we recommend adding some organic PLNTS nutrition in the summer months. Baby Ceropegia Woodii also loves a refreshing bath from a spray bottle and her strands will multiply quickly and become even longer.

We also wrote an extensive blog about how to unpack and prepare your plants for growth after shipping. However there are rare occasions where our plants don’t meet their full potential. That’s why all plants are guaranteed for 30 days after arrival, if still in its original nursery pot.
