Meet the colourful cousin of the String of Pearls, the Senecio Herreianus Purple Flush. As the name suggested, this plant is embellished with a beautiful hint of purple. This combined with its adorable thick banana-like foliage, makes quite the eye-catcher. Due to the leaf shape, this plant is referred to as the String of Bananas, which fits the plant very well. Due to its purple hue, it's a more rare species than a fully green String of bananas. You can imagine that all the String of plants will look marvellous when growing side by side. Will you be adding this beauty with a purple tint to your collection? Buy Senecio Herreianus Purple Flush online.
When it comes to water, this plant can be a bit picky. The thick foliage holds water, which is where you will see if the String of Bananas needs to be watered. If they feel squishy, it’s safe to water. As long as they feel firm, you should not give the plant water. The foliage can over consume water and explode, which would be a petty of those cute leaves.
You can use a well draining soil mix, which is suitable for succulents. This will reduce the chance of root rot and will make it super comfortable.
You should also try to provide it with lots of bright, indirect light. Which the plant prefers to have shining on top of the pot. So next to a window, without any harsh midday sun is absolutely perfect!

Everything about Senecio
Senecio is one of the biggest plant families that belong to the daisy (Asteraceae) family. There are over 1,000 different species of Senecio all over the world - some are annoying weeds, while others are beloved garden plants. Senecio succulents are also quite popular as houseplants and are perfect for growing indoors.
The name "Senecio" comes from the Latin word "senex," which means "old man." This is because many species of Senecio have a fluffy, white seed head like an older man's beard.
