Ficus Elastica Belize brings a tropical sunset into your living room. Her thick glossy leaves mix deep green with creamy edges and a soft pink blush, and no two leaves are ever quite the same. She grows into a sturdy upright eye-catcher that loves to show off near a bright window. A rewarding green friend that combines colourful looks with the famously easy rubber plant character.
Your rubber plant likes a bright spot without harsh midday sun, where her glossy leaves colour up best. Water about once every two weeks and let the top few centimetres of soil dry out first; her thick leaves store plenty of reserves. She is fine with normal room humidity, though an occasional wipe with a damp cloth keeps those big leaves shiny and breathing. Repot every two years into fresh, airy potting soil and give her some plant food in spring and summer. Watch out for cold draughts and remember her milky sap can irritate, so keep curious pets and little hands away.
