The baby Pilea Peperomioides is also called the Chinese penny plant or pancake plant. Though she’s a sweetheart to look at, she’s a relative of the stinging nettle! Originally from China, this little cutie has conquered the hearts of many plant parents. In addition to its air-purifying qualities, this lady is a grateful roommate. The Pilea peperomioides multiplies quickly, so before you know it your family will be expanding.
The baby Pilea Peperomioides is a low stress plant. With a splash of water once a week and some organic PLNTS nutrition every two weeks you will make this pancake plant very happy. If you want a fuller plant, cut off some of the small side shoots in the pot and put them in water. When there are enough roots on the stem you can add them to the pot

April 02, 2021I bought three, and gave one away. They were tiny and delicate, but transported safely in their little container. At first they lost alot of stems, but I think it was because it was fall/ winter and not very sunny where I live. I placed mine, as did my friend, in a sunnier space and they are all doing well. All three are perky, cute, and thriving!

February 10, 2021Arrived well, I re-potted it immediately upon arrival. Started growing new leaves, but leaves started to curl. I changed placement, less direct light and now is beautifully pankcake-y and growing. Very happy!
