The Philodendron Prince of Orange is named after its beautifully colored leaves, which show a wide array of colors as the plant grows. New growth starts with a yellow color that fades into a beautiful copper, which eventually turns into various shades of dark green. Thanks to the shifting colors it’s a real treat to watch the Prince of Orange grow! As opposed to other Philodrendron varieties, which grow leaves from the stem, the Prince of Orange grows its leaves from the middle of the plant.
The Prince of Orange is relatively easy to care for. Like most Philodendrons, it prefer a bright spot with lots of indirect sunlight as well as a slightly moist soil. The Prince of Orange typically grows towards the light so make sure to turn it around a bit every now and then. This will help the plant grow evenly and produce beautiful leaves on all sides! Older leaves on the Prince can turn yellow again, it is therefore important to distinguish between a normal shift in the leaves’ colors or a shifting in color that indicates sickness or old age before taking action.

February 01, 2024I’ve had some issues in the beginning with stunted growth and leaves that wouldn’t unfurl properly, and I couldn’t work out what exactly the problem was. It seems to be a somewhat fussy, slow growing plant, but once you work out the details it’s really a sight. The grown plant doesn’t have the same colour as the baby plant, the older leaves turn a dark green shade, and the new leaves are a beautifully bright orange.

November 30, 2023It's a very beautiful plant, really recommend getting a smaller version because it's so beautiful when the leaves come in and they all look super orange. I keep it in a south-facing window where it gets afternoon light and it seems to really enjoy it.

After a week or two the plant is still healthy and is producing new leaves. It grows fast and beautiful. I didn’t expect it to be this good! I ‘ll totally order again!

May 30, 2022A bit rough from shipping but there are 4 babies in the pot, so I can't really complain. Soil was super soggy at arrival, but the roots seemed fine. Looking forward to them growing big and beautiful!

May 23, 2022Doesn't look like in the pictures. Mine is smaller, looking more flat and the color is a brownish dark green. It didn't change much after weeks. I'm dissappointed as I expected a cute colorful plant.
