A plant that looks like a thousand butterflies! Isn’t the Oxalis extraordinary? She has many common names like, Wood Sorrels or False Shamrocks. She is the largest genus within the Oxalidaceae. This family has 900 species in total and 800 of those are Oxalis! She originates from South-Asia and South-America, where she enjoys the tropical climate. The fun thing is that you will receive 5 tubers, so you can grow this butterfly plant from scratch. Don’t worry, we explain in the care section how you can achieve this. Excited about this product? So you would like to grow your own Oxalis at home? No problem, she is pretty easy to grow from scratch! You can place the tubers during spring, 1 inch apart from each other in the soil. Make sure to cover them with a very thin layer of soil and keep the soil slightly moist at all times. Place her in bright indirect to direct light, but out of direct sunlight. Soon enough you will start seeing some shoots, keep going with watering her regularly to maintain the slightly moist soil. Once she grows big, she shows her gratitude by producing amazing flowers for you! She blooms from June till August and goes dormant in fall until the next spring. Make sure to keep the tubers safe, since you can enjoy them every year again!
