Homalomena Rubescens Maggy is a popular houseplant. She has beautiful large heart shaped leaves on red stems. So she really stands out! This plant is originally from Asia and if you love the Alocasia and Philodendron, you will definitely love the Homalomena Rubescens Maggy too. In fact, she looks like some kind of mix of both plants. Well, that's not surprising either. After all, she is also distantly related to these two plant species.
Maggy is great as an eye-catching houseplant in a corner, on a table or in a planter. She herself really enjoys increased humidity, from a bathroom for example, this will encourage the growth of beautiful large leaves. This plant does not need to be repotted often, easy right? Furthermore, she does well in moderate to low light, but moderate light is best. If you give her a little water weekly and put her in airy potting soil, she will be absolutely happy and will continue to shine!
