Fargesia Rufa Elegrass is a tall, vigorous clumping bamboo with gracefully arching green canes and dense foliage. Its upright, structured habit makes it perfect as a natural screen, garden centerpiece, or container specimen. Seasonal factors may influence foliage fullness at delivery, but the plant always provides a lush, tropical appearance. Its tall, elegant canes create visual interest and movement in the garden.
Plant in partial shade with rich, well-draining soil. Keep the soil consistently moist during dry periods and mulch around the base to protect the roots and retain moisture. Remove weak or aging canes annually to encourage new shoots and maintain a dense, healthy canopy. Regular watering and occasional feeding with a balanced fertilizer support strong growth and vibrant foliage. The plant is generally hardy but benefits from protection against strong winter winds.
