The Calathea Ornata or also called Calathea Pinstripe or Pinstripe plant. She owes this nickname to her beautiful large green leaves with pink stripes. Not all plants have such beautiful leaf markings! She is a wonderfully large plant that will brighten up any dull or empty corner in no time.
To care for this Calathea Ornata correctly, it is good to put her in a place with bright, indirect light. Do not place the plant in direct sunlight, as this may scorch her leaves. She likes to be kept constantly moist, but not drenched in water. So water this lady only when the top 3 centimetres of her soil is dry. If her leaves start drooping, that is usually a sign that the plant needs water. During the growing season (spring and summer), give the Ornata extra nutrition monthly. All in all, the Calathea Ornata is a beautiful plant that needs constant care, especially humidity, warm temperature and moist soil.
