The Caladium is a tropical plant originating from Central and Southern America, particularly Brazil and the Amazon, that grows in the jungle. Caladiums are beautiful plants that grow from bulbs. Their heart-shaped, often brightly colored and beautifully veined leaves make the Caladium a real eyecatcher! The White Christmas is a real snow white! Her white leaves have green veining, like snow on a landscape. Now Christmas won’t be the only time that is the most beautiful time of the year!
You will receive the tuber of this snow white Caladium, so you can grow her yourself! In the care is the full description on how to do this. :)
You can plant your tuber in spring. It might take some work, but you will not be disappointed! Place the tuber 1-2 centimeters in soil. Give her a spot where the temperature stays around 21 degrees and preferably with partial shade. Give her plenty of water, she requires this to grow her stunning big leaves. Be careful that there will not be any leftover water inside her pot, she doesn't like to get wet feet. You could always check if there is no water accumulating on the bottom of the pot. She loves to be misted, which also helps to create a good humidity. In fall her leaves start to fall off, this is a sign that you can stop watering your Caldium. When all the leaves are gone, you can place the tuber in a dry spot, this could be in a pot. The temperature around the tuber should be around 12 degrees. If you don’t do this, the tuber can rot, that’s something that we would like to prevent! In spring you can replant your Caladium, and now you can enjoy your tuber for years!

These caladium tuber sprouted very quickly once I planted it, and it turned into an absolutely beautiful plant. This year around it only had 3 leaves (pretty big ones, though), and I’m excited to see if it’s gonna grow even more this year.

That’s why all plants are guaranteed for 30 days after arrival, if still in its original nursery pot.
