The Caladium is a tropical plant originating from Central and Southern America, particularly Brazil and the Amazon, that grows in the jungle. Caladiums are beautiful plants that grow from bulbs. Their heart-shaped, often brightly colored and beautifully veined leaves make the Caladium a real eyecatcher! If you love beautiful pink foliage, the Spring Fling is really something for you! She has gorgeous strawberry pink leaves with dark green veins. Which makes her a real pink beauty!

Putting in a little effort for your tuber will be rewarded! Give your tuber a spot in partial shade, or on a spot with no direct sunlight. keep her warm by not letting the temperature drop below 21 degrees. You can plant the tuber 1-2 centimeters into the soil with the bud upwards. She requires a lot of water, but doesn’t like to be left standing with wet feet either. Keep an eye on any water that may be left on the bottom of the pot. Treat her on regular mistings, this will make her very happy and also maintains the humidity of the air. When fall comes the leaves will start to get brown and die off. When this happens, you should stop watering your Caladium. Once only the tuber is left, you can store it inside some dry sand. Keep the temperature around the pot at about 12 degrees. This will prevent the tuber from rotting. When spring arrives you can start this process all over.
