Biological pest control: spider mites

Are you noticing a change in the colour of your leaves, accompanied by the presence of delicate webs on your plants? If so, you may be contending with spider mites. These minuscule pests are difficult to detect with the naked eye, yet the damage they inflict can be significant. They puncture tiny holes in your plant's foliage and firmly attach themselves, initiating a feast on the plant's sap, ultimately compromising its health. Fortunately, combating this infestation is achievable with the introduction of predatory creatures known as "Nicus," known for their voracious appetite. Each of these creatures can consume up to 160 spider mite eggs, and a package typically contains around 100 of them. Over a span of 4-6 weeks, they'll proliferate in your environment, multiplying to approximately 2000, all the while eradicating the infestation without causing harm to your plants.

The package housing these creatures can be conveniently hung near the affected area for optimal effectiveness. In cases of severe infestations, it's advisable to use Persi in combination with Nicus to effectively combat the plague.

Please note: it is best to introduce the mites immediately after their arrival. Hold the bag by the cardboard, as you do not want to damage these saviours. Give these predatory mites a helping hand by spraying the plants a little and keeping the plant room a little warmer (18 to 32 °C), they love it. The predatory mites only stay on your plants, so don't be afraid of a house full of mites!

*We ship orders for the organic pest control once a week on Wednesdays.
