Grow your own Anthurium Silver Blush with these seeds! The Silver blush is known for her striking pearly-grey nerves on her leaves. She has adoring heart shaped leaves that become massive! New growth will often have a red or violet tint to them, but this fades down into a soothing green colour. She is a rare cultivar of the Anthurium Crystallinum and can’t miss inside your plant collection. In the care you can read how to grow these 2 seeds into a magnificent plant!
You can grow these seeds inside cutting soil, or in your own potting mix. We recommend using a mix of sphagnum moss, perlite and vermiculite. This has all the drainage that you Anthurium is looking for.
You can fill up your chosen pot and place the seeds on top of the potting mix. You don’t have to cover the seeds, since they would like to see light when they are growing for you. Keep the potting mix slightly moist at all times. To make this easier for yourself, you can place the pot inside a plastic bag or wrap it in clear plastic wrap.
It will take about 1-3 months before sprouts start appearing. This is the time to remove the plastic shield and let her grow to her full potential. More information about growing these seeds can be found in our blog, #PLNTSchallenge Anthurium Seeds.

Everything about Anthurium
All varieties of Anthurium plants are tropical plants and mostly come from South and Central America. Anthurium is a genus of about 1000 species and, therefore, one of the largest genus of the Araceae family.
Anthuriums are divided into two main groups: flowering Anthuriums (flamingo flowers) and foliage Anthuriums. Flowering Anthuriums have brightly coloured waxy spathes (modified leaves) that look like flowers. Other varieties of Anthurium plants have striking foliage with big and deep green heart-shaped leaves and amazing veined patterns.
