The Alocasia Sinuata, commonly known as ‘Mirror face’ or ‘Jewel Alocasia’ is a rare plant with a heavily textured leaf. This leaf is silverish with dark green nerves. You might look at her and think of another Alocasia, the Dragon Scale. The Sinuata will have more dramatic, nearly black markings on the leaf in comparrence to the Dragon Scale. The Sinuata is a real must have for the real Alocasia collectors!
The Sinuata is a little bit more picky than her look-alikes. She will prefer a humidity of 75% or higher. This makes her a perfect candidate for a greenhouse. Give her some well draining soil and keep it moist. Provide her with lots of bright indirect light and during the growing season a monthly potion of nutrients.
