The Alocasia Red Secret is a feast for the eyes, a breathtaking plant that is a statement addition to any living room plant collection. With its beautiful deep wine-red leaves it has a warm appearance, while the slender stems give the plant a sense of weightlessness. She is not fond of full sunlight, but a spot in semi-shade will have this houseplant feeling right at home.
Alocasia Red Secret does not like getting her feet wet, so be careful not to give more than a splash of water several times a week, always making sure that the soil does not get too wet, because her roots are prone to rot. When brown edges appear on the leaves it is time to repot. She prefers a light spot, but not full sun. And beware- if overwatered, she will produce small drops of moisture from her leaves, which risk staining wooden tables and floors.

Having heard so many fellow plant lovers say that Alocasia are particularly delicate in terms of their environment and care, I was nervous to see how this baby plant would cope with the delivery. It arrived in perfect condition and it was clear that much of that could be put down to its brilliant health prior to postage. The packaging was very carefully done. It has now been a number of weeks since it arrived and it is thriving. Would most definitely recommend.
Your order will be hand picked and packed in our strong and sustainable packaging as soon as possible, after which it will be delivered straight from our greenhouse to your door by your chosen carrier. We expect every order to arrive in tip-top shape. We take intensive care of the plants in our greenhouse and use special and as sustainable as possible protective packaging to ship our plants. We also wrote an extensive blog about how to unpack and prepare your plants for growth after shipping. However there are rare occasions where our plants don’t meet their full potential. That’s why all plants are guaranteed for 30 days after arrival, if still in its original nursery pot.
