The Alocasia Portodora is a very impressive Alocasia because of her thick stems and big, beautiful, green scalloped leaves. Her leaves can be up to 60 cm across, that is why they are also known as the upright elephant ear plant. This fast growing lady will fill your room in no time and will certainly give your room a real tropical vibe!
The Alocasia Portodora loves a lot of indirect sunlight, as she originally lives in the jungles of South East Asia. Therefore she truly feels at home in a humid environment. To meet her humid requirements, she appreciates good misting regularly. For watering, her soil should be kept moist. But overwatering would eventually cause her downfall.. Yes.. plant parenting can be very hard, but try to find a balance in watering little and often. That will lead her to growing great heights.

If you have any questions regarding your order and its shipment, you can get in contact with our support team.
We expect every order to arrive in tip-top shape. We take intensive care of the plants in our greenhouse and use special and as sustainable as possible protective packaging to ship our plants. We also wrote an extensive blog about how to unpack and prepare your plants for growth after shipping. However there are rare occasions where our plants don’t meet their full potential. That’s why all plants are guaranteed for 30 days after arrival, if still in its original nursery pot.
