10 most wanted Syngonium varieties - selected by our community

As true plantlovers (and collectors) we’re always looking for plants with lots of beautiful varieties. The Syngonium is one of those plant families. Also known as the Arrowhead plant, the Syngonium is popular for her diverse foliage and low maintenance nature. Did you know that there are over 30 known Syngoniums? Wow!

It made us wonder what the top 10 favourite Syngoniums are… So we did some research and asked our community to help us out! We received many suggestions of a great diversity of special plants. Although they are all super pretty, only some of them can be the most wanted. We proudly present the top 10 most wanted Syngoniums, selected by our lovely PLNTScommunity!

1. Syngonium Albo Variegata

The beautiful Syngonium Albo Variegata received the most votes, by far! A big favourite and we totally get why! Her dark green leaves with large splashes of white make this variegated plant very unique. Syngoniums are also excellent hanging plants and will do stunning in a hanging basket! So, if you are looking for a great Syngonium variety to brighten up your room, this number one is your go to plant!

2. Syngonium Strawberry Ice

Sweet as strawberry, our number two! Her leaves have a brownish red hue and feature patches of bright pink variegation that will make you think of strawberry ice cream! Besides looking very cute, the Syngonium Strawberry Ice is also a rarity, what makes her the perfect addition to every plant collection!

3. Syngonium Mottled

The Syngonium Mottled is our personal favourite and we are thrilled she made it into the top 3! Do you remember our very first #PLNTSchallenge, where our community had to grow a small Syngonium Mottled into a beautiful big(ger) houseplant? The results were amazing! This beauty has a colourful collection of colours on her leaves, varying from dark green to white and grows super fast under the right conditions. Definitely a true addition to your green jungle!

4. Syngonium Red Spot Tricolor

A solid fourth place for the Syngonium Red Spot Tricolor. Because of her rarity and her unique pattern, Syngonium Red Spot Tricolor is very popular and wanted by the plant community. There can be up to three colors on one leaf, hence her name. Her unique pattern, such as stripes and spots, has a combination of green, light cream and light pink. Very beautiful this three-coloured plant!

5. Syngonium Milk Confetti

The cute Syngonium Milk Confetti also made the top 10 of most wanted Syngoniums and that’s no surprise! She is a rare tropical plant and is prized for her pink pastel splashes that are spread on the green leaves like confetti. This plant literally makes a little party wherever she stands!

6. Syngonium Yellow Aurea Variegata

This yellow variegated arrowhead is definitely a rare find! The Syngonium Yellow Aurea Variegata is a climber and has stunning yellow variegation on her green leaves. The variegation will differ on every leaf, so she will surprise you with every new leaf!

7. Syngonium Scrambled Eggs

This cutie has a funny name, but you might recognise her! The Syngonium Scrambled Eggs is the variegated sister of the Syngonium Wendlandii! Her rich green and velvety leaves have silver markings just like the Wendlandii, but to top it off, the Syngonium Scrambled Eggs has a variegated pattern in shares of yellow and cream! Very special, this one!

8. Syngonium Three Kings

Up next is the Syngonium Three Kings. This is also a special Syngonium with a beautiful leaf pattern. Her arrow-shaped leaves are marbled with varying shades of green. Like most Syngonium varieties, this beauty is a very easy-care plant, making it the perfect choice for beginner collectors!

9. Syngonium Panda

Another green beauty is the Syngonium Panda. Her leaves are green with splodges and spots of bright, mint green. The variegation is random, making every leaf very unique. Besides being super pretty, the Syngonium Panda grows fast and bushy. Are you going to let this beauty trail down or climb up?

10. Syngonium Pink Splash
