Simple, sturdy and ready for direct planting: the Stan Pot Cream is a classic cream-coloured terracotta pot with a drainage hole. Just as at home on the balcony as on the windowsill.
You can't go wrong with terracotta! It has a neutral, earthy colour, suits almost any plant and works both indoors and out. Terracotta is unglazed baked clay, so the porous material wicks away moisture through its walls. That lowers the risk of overwatering and improves airflow to the roots, though it also means the soil dries out a little faster, so water a touch more often. Soak a new terracotta pot overnight before repotting so it doesn't steal water from your plant.
