The Schefflera Melanie is often called an umbrella tree, and her variegated leaves make her an eye-catching addition to any plant collection. The characteristic parasol-shaped spreads of leaves are elongated and might remind you of a hand. An easygoing native of China and Taiwan, she will quickly turn out to be one of your favs, because she can make herself at home anywhere. One tip though- she’s happiest when you dust her regularly, because her big leaves catch a lot of dust.
The Schefflera Melanie doesn't need a lot of water, so don't give too much at once. Instead try to give small bits more often, even if the soil may dry out a little between watering sessions. Turn Schefflera Melanie every few months to make sure it doesn't grow crooked. Sometimes the large leaves can become a bit dull, but this can be avoided by regularly and gently wiping them with a damp cloth. In the spring and summer growing season, regularly give some extra organic PLNTS nutrition to give your plant optimal support.
