Plant the raspberry in a sunny to partly shaded, sheltered spot. It prefers rich, loose, well-draining soil that never stays waterlogged. Water regularly during dry spells, especially when grown in pots, as containers dry out much faster. Cut all canes back to ground level in late winter so strong new canes can grow and fruit the same year. The Rubus idaeus Heritage is fully hardy and normally needs no winter protection.

The Rubus idaeus Heritage is a sturdy, autumn-fruiting raspberry with upright canes and aromatic, deep red berries. It reaches about 150-180 cm in height and 50-70 cm in width at maturity. Plant 2-3 per square meter for a dense, productive row. The white flowers attract bees and bumblebees, and the fruit ripens from late summer into autumn. It works well in a fruit garden, along a fence or trellis, and in large containers on the patio. Seasonal changes may affect whether the plant arrives with flowers or fruits.
