Long, smooth, pencil thin stems that hang straight down in soft green strands, with no spines anywhere in sight. Rhipsalis Cassutha is the classic mistletoe cactus and the one most people picture when they hear the name, growing on tree branches in the wild rather than in soil. As a baby it starts as a modest little tuft, then slowly lengthens into the cascade it is known for. It is genuinely low maintenance, tolerating the odd forgotten watering without any drama. A safe, spineless green friend that works in a hanging pot or perched on a high shelf.
Your Rhipsalis wants bright indirect light and will burn in direct sun, so treat it like a forest plant rather than a desert one. Water every other week and let the top half of the soil dry out first, then water thoroughly and let all the excess drain away. Never let the pot sit in standing water, because a wet base is the one thing that reliably kills a Rhipsalis. Use a very airy mix with plenty of perlite and repot only every three years, it prefers a snug pot. Feed once a month in spring and summer with a diluted feed and stop completely in winter. Wrinkled, shrivelling stems mean it needs a drink, so give it a proper soak rather than a splash.
Your order will be hand picked and packed in our strong and sustainable packaging as soon as possible, after which it will be delivered straight from our greenhouse to your door by your chosen carrier. You can follow the journey of your plants via the tracking link you receive in your mail. If you have any questions regarding your order and its shipment, you can get in contact with our support team.
We expect every order to arrive in tip-top shape. We take intensive care of the plants in our greenhouse and use special and as sustainable as possible protective packaging to ship our plants. We also wrote an extensive blog about how to unpack and prepare your plants for growth after shipping. However there are rare occasions where our plants don’t meet their full potential. That’s why all plants are guaranteed for 30 days after arrival, if still in its original nursery pot.

Everything about Rhipsalis
The Rhipsalis has a very unique look. They have long strings growing directly from their pot. It is a hanging plant and radiates fun vibes. This long foliage can vary from thickness and can also be slightly curled. The colour is green and they can produce adoring white flowers all the way down on their quirky foliage. Once these flowers have bloomed, they turn into little white berries. It almost appears like little snowflakes!
