Have you ever seen a cuter Philodendron Melanochrysum? This stunning rare plant is known for her long leaves with velvet look to them. New leaves start out with a fleshy pink tone that will fade down into a very dark green colour. She can have some gold accents on her leaves as well, which contrasts her dark base beautifully! She is a climber and would love to have something to grow onto.
This astonishing plant is not recommendable for beginning PLNTS parents, even though she does not have lots of requirements, she can be a bit fussy sometimes.
She will love to have moist soil at all times, which will require a lot of water, since she drinks quite big sips. It’s best to provide her with regular splashes, just to make sure that she will not be left standing in a puddle of water. She is suitable for many spots in your house, just keep her out of direct sunlight.
To provide her with enough energy to grow those big leaves you can give her a monthly portion of PLNTS nutrition.

I have 2 of these now, one self-ordered, and one that came in a sustainability box. One of them is having a hard time properly unfurling new leaves, but the other one is doing fantastic! Her leaves are sizing up with every new leaf, and her roots look super healthy! I'd highly recommend putting this particular Philo on a growth pole as soon as you can, the extra roots really help it size up / mature quickly!
