Peperomia Caperata Cayenne brings a spicy touch of colour with her deeply rippled leaves in dark red and bronze tones. Her compact rosette shape makes her a natural beauty for a desk, windowsill or terrarium. As a baby plant she is already full of character and only gets richer in colour. Pet-friendly and easygoing, this little green friend spices up any plant collection.
Your peperomia is wonderfully low-key: a bright spot without direct sun keeps her colours and patterns at their best. Water about once every two weeks, letting the soil dry out well in between; her semi-succulent leaves hold reserves and overwatering is her only real enemy. When in doubt, wait a few more days. Normal room humidity is fine, no misting rituals needed. Feed lightly in spring and summer and repot every two to three years into an airy mix. And the best part: she is completely safe for cats and dogs.

There are a lot of different leaf colours, from deep green to purple and red. Plus, some of them produce cute spikes of tiny, tube-shaped flowers!
They are also very adaptable as indoor plants. They can handle all sorts of growing conditions, making them the perfect choice for those just starting with houseplants or those with busy schedules who don't have much time for plant care.
