The Monstera Deliciosa Electrolyte is a rare variegated stunner, with leaves splashed in electric patterns of green and bright cream. Each new leaf reveals a fresh distribution of colour, making every unfurling a small event. The name fits perfectly: there is something genuinely energising about that high-contrast foliage. Variegated Monsteras are among the most wanted plants in the collector scene, and this young plant lets you grow a future showstopper from scratch. Give it good light and patience, and it rewards you generously. Electric looks, timeless appeal.
Your variegated Monstera needs more light than its all-green cousins, as the pale parts of the leaf don't photosynthesise. Give it a bright spot with plenty of indirect light, but no harsh midday sun. Water weekly and let the top layer of soil dry out in between, as variegated plants are extra sensitive to wet feet. It loves higher humidity, so mist regularly. Plant it in an airy, chunky mix and repot every two years. Feed monthly in spring and summer, but gently. If new leaves come out mostly white, they are fragile, and a leaf turning fully green means the plant wants more light. Keep it away from pets, as the leaves are toxic.
