The baby Hemionitis Arifolia is also known as the heart fern. She is a tropical fern from Asia and with her cascades of graceful heart-shaped leaves she’s really an eye-catcher. She does best in a shaded corner of your home, and with a little love you can let the Hemionitis Arifolia grow into a fern of serious size.
Like most ferns, the baby Hemionitis Arifolia likes shade and a fairly humid environment. A dimly-lit bathroom would be an ideal place for her, and if you’d prefer to place her in a place where there’s not much humidity it’s important that you spray her occasionally with a plant sprayer. Hemionitis Arifolia prefers moist soil, too, so give her a little bit of water twice a week directly on the soil.

15 November 2023I struggled with my delivery date and unfortunately my new plants had to wait 3 extra days without light or water (7 days of delivery in total) and surprisingly they all were still doing great! Even this baby fern which really surprised me, since ferns can't hold water very long :) thanks again!

There are several varieties of Hemionitis in this family, but one of the most common is Hemionitis Arifolia. Because of its heart-shaped leaves, it is also known as the Heart Fern. It requires some specific care requirements, but with some practice, it's easy and rewarding!
