This plant is shipped without a nursery pot and therefore needs to be placed in a pot when it arrives.
The baby Pilea is also known as the Pancake plant. The name Pancake plant is derived from the round leaves with their pancake-shaped leaves. Pilea Peperomioides originated in China, that is why it is nicknamed ‘Chinese Money Plant’. It is the most popular plant at the moment because Instagram and Pinterest is full with pictures of it. The Pilea is also very popular because it is a fast growing plant and easy to maintain. It’s also easy to grow and cuttings yourself. We sell the baby Pilea in a small plug so you will have a good basis to let it grow and let it become the plant you want it to be.
How to replant the (baby) Pilea plug?
Make sure that when the plant is delivered, you replant it as soon as possible. Put the plug in a pot with potting soil, make sure the soil is airy and free-flowing and give it a good sip of water

Your baby Pilea needs a small amount of water every week. Check regularly if the plant has enough water. This can be done by feeling how heavy the plant feels and/or feel with your finger how dry the soil feels. Make sure the plant stays slightly damp and prevent it from drying out but make sure you don’t drown it! The Pancake plant loves sunlight, but not direct sunlight. So, don’t let it sit in full sun.

A great full and healthy plant without damaged leaves. With a great transport and unpacking experience from the first moment. I look forward to seeing this plant continue to grow.

Arrived in good condition. I was initially having problems with the oldest leaves drooping and falling off as it grew, but have put it in a window that has dappled light, and it’s really happy now.
