De Ctenanthe Burle Marxii komt uit de tropische gebieden van Centraal en Zuid Amerika en is familie van de Calathea. Haar bladeren maken deze beauty een echte eyecatcher. Het lange, ovale blad heeft een gestreept visgraatpatroon en is donkergroen met grijsgroen. De onderkant van de bladeren is roodachtig, die ze elke avond als het donker wordt zal laten zien. 's Ochtends zal ze je weer verblijden met haar prachtige bladeren!
Deze Visgraat gebedsplant is een taaie plant. Ze geeft de voorkeur aan schaduw en houdt absoluut niet van direct zonlicht, want dan verschroeien haar mooi gevormde bladeren. Ze stelt een vochtige omgeving op prijs, daarom kunt u haar het beste helpen door haar dagelijks te besproeien met een plantenspuit. Het is belangrijk om haar grond vochtig te houden, zelfs in de winter. Natuurlijk heeft de Ctenanthe Burle Marxii in de zomer meer water nodig

28 maart 2021Decided to add this plant to my order on a whim, it caught my eye and I HAD to have it. Let me tell you, this plant can be picky. - Loves humidity and without it brown crispy spots will appear on the leaves. - LOVES water. This guy will throw a whole tantrum if you let the soil get dry or if it begins to compact. The edges of his leaves will curl and it’s as if the plant is hiding his beautiful fishbone design in an act of disobedience. Couple hours after a good water and his leaves will go completely back to normal as if nothing happened. Once you get the hang of figuring out exactly what this plant wants it’s easy peasy. I love taking photos of this plant throughout the day because he loves following the sun around the room and repositioning throughout the day. So cool to be able to see how much the plant has moved since you last took a picture!

16 november 2020This a surprise of my order. I added her in just to see if I like her and she easily won me over. She moves so much! Each day I find her with differently positioned leaves. Quite large for a baby plant too. Looks very healthy and came with no damage at all.

14 november 2020This plant arrived in great condition although a little dirty from displaced soil, no big deal though! It's a little smaller than the photo but still a great price. Other than the displaced soil, my plant came in perfect condition despite being in the post for a few days in the colder months.

Ctenanthe is een prachtige tropische kamerplant met veel populariteit onder plantenouders. Hoewel ze een beetje kieskeurig kunnen zijn, maakt hun schoonheid dat ruimschoots goed. Ze komen oorspronkelijk uit Midden- en Zuid-Amerika, voornamelijk uit Brazilië, waar ze groeien in het struikgewas van vochtige en warme tropische bossen.
Ctenanthe is een plant met een unieke naam die wordt uitgesproken als "ten-an-thee" (de "c" is stil). Ze zijn ook bekend als de Never Never Plant of Gebedsplant omdat ze 's nachts hun bladeren sluiten alsof ze in gebed zijn en ze 's morgens weer openen. Ze behoren tot de Marantaceae familie, samen met Calathea en Maranta.
