Codiaeum Variegatum Iceton, also known as Mrs. Iceton, is the most elegant croton around: oval leaves that fade from soft yellow through pink and red to deep green, layered like a sunset. Her colours shift subtly as each leaf matures, so she never looks the same twice. Give her plenty of light and she rewards you with an ever richer palette. A graceful green friend with painterly class.
Your croton is a light addict: the brighter her spot, the more spectacular her colours, and she even enjoys some morning or evening sun. Water weekly so the soil stays lightly moist, and a little less in winter. She loves humidity, so mist her regularly, especially when the heating is on. Keep her warm and protect her from cold draughts, because chills make her drop leaves in protest. Feed in spring and summer, repot every two years, and keep her colourful leaves away from curious pets.
